Orange is a French multinational telecommunications corporation. It is a global provider for mobile phone, landline, Internet, mobile internet, and IP television services, with 226 million customers^[3] as of December 2011 and, under the brand Orange Business Services, is one of the world leaders in providing telecommunication services to multinational companies.
The brand was created when Hutchinson Telecom acquired a controlling stake in Microtel Communications Ltd during the early-1990s and rebranded it Orange. It became a subsidiary of Mannesmann in 1999 and was acquired by France Télécom in 2000.
